Welcome to the Quantum Optics Laboratory (Tojo Lab)
in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Chuo University!
Our laboratory is at the forefront of research on the interaction between atoms and light using quantum optical methods. We are particularly focused on experimental studies using laser cooling technology and precision spectroscopy techniques. All staff and students work together to advance our research. We are currently researching the interaction between Rb atoms cooled to below 100 nK using laser cooling technology, all optical formation of Bose-Einstein condensation near a glass surface, and the investigation of atomic and molecular-light near-field interactions in nanospaces.

お知らせtopics

Cold atoms are back to the surface!!

We have recovered our setup to transport cold atoms into the glass surface.

Cold atoms are back!

We have restructed our rubidium cooling setup to generate cold atoms with Rb MOT apparatus.
